About Karakoa
Karakoa is a founder-led software development studio in Metro Manila, Philippines. We build websites, mobile apps, custom systems, and capstone or thesis systems, and we run the cloud infrastructure underneath them.
Why the name
The karakoa was the great outrigger warship of the precolonial Visayans and Kapampangans: built without nails so the hull could flex, double-ended so it could reverse in a moment, and fast enough that Spanish chroniclers recorded 12 to 15 knots. The mascot on this site is one, and the name is the standard we hold the work to. Build it well, keep it fast, and ship it.
How we work
